Great Time Had By ALL!

We are pleased to announce that the NH Turkey Train was a huge success. From the moment 37 travelers stepped on the bus, there was not a dull moment. Travelers, 50 – 100 years of age, shared many laughs as they passed the time away with several games of bingo and trivia during the ride to their destination to the Meredith Station.

Travelers enjoyed a 2 hour scenic ride along Lake Winnipesaukee to enjoy the sights of the fall foliage. Guests watched in amazement as the chef, from Hart’s Turkey Farm, carved a beautifully golden, juicy turkey right in front of their eyes. This delicious turkey was complimented with mashed potatoes, stuffing, butternut squash, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls with butter, and warm apple crisp for dessert.

A heartfelt thank you to Premier Bus for getting us to and from our destination safely. We would like to thank Mary for leading the day and ensuring everyone had a great time. Thank you to all the travelers who supported Meals-on-Wheels. With your help, Sullivan County Nutrition Services is able to fill more plates for those who are struggling with food insecurity. We can’t wait to bring you another memorable trip!
